1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how BELL (“BELL”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you visit thebell.cc (the “Website”) or join the BELL waitlist (together, the “Services”).
By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Services.
2. Data Controller
BELL is the data controller responsible for your personal data. You can contact us about any matter relating to this Privacy Policy or your personal data at [email protected].
3. Personal Data We Collect
3.1 Information you provide to us. When you join the waitlist, we collect:
- your email address;
- your answer to our optional pricing question, if you choose to give one.
3.2 Information generated when you join. When you join, we also create and store:
- your position on the waitlist;
- a unique referral code assigned to you, the number of people who joined using it, and associated bonus points;
- the referral code of the person who invited you, if you joined through a referral link;
- the version of the Website headline you were shown;
- whether you have confirmed your email address, and a one-time confirmation token;
- the date and time of your registration and of any later changes to your record.
3.3 Information collected automatically. When you use the Services, we automatically collect:
- your IP address;
- your browser’s user-agent string (which identifies the browser and operating system);
- the pages you request and the date and time of each request.
3.4 Information we do not collect. We do not collect your name, telephone number, postal address, payment information, or any special categories of personal data. We do not obtain personal data about you from third parties.
4. How We Use Your Personal Data and Legal Bases
We process your personal data only where we have a legal basis to do so, as set out below.

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Website does not place cookies or similar technologies on your device for visitors, and does not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Because we do not track you across websites, we do not respond differently to “Do Not Track” browser signals.
6. How We Share Your Personal Data
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We share it only with the following categories of service providers, who process it on our behalf and only as necessary to provide their services:

| unpkg | Delivery of open-source code libraries used by the Website. Your browser requests these directly, and the host receives your IP address. |
We may also disclose personal data (a) where required by law, regulation, legal process or a governmental request; (b) to protect the rights, property or safety of BELL, our users or others; or (c) in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of all or part of our business, in which case we will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
7. International Data Transfers
Our server is located in Kazakhstan, and some of our service providers process data in other countries, including the United States. These countries may not provide the same level of data protection as the country in which you live. Where required by applicable law, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by our service providers, such as standard contractual clauses, for these transfers.
8. Data Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy:
- Waitlist records are kept until you ask us to delete them, or until they are no longer needed to operate the waitlist and inform you about the launch of BELL.
- Web server logs are deleted automatically after 14 days.
- Application logs, which record the recipient address of each confirmation email, are kept until they are automatically overwritten, and are used only to diagnose delivery problems.
- Internal Telegram notifications are kept until we delete them.
- Rate-limiting data (a count of requests per IP address) is held in memory for a few minutes and is never written to storage.
9. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it;
- rectify inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
- erase your personal data, which will also remove you from the waitlist;
- restrict or object to our processing of your personal data, including processing based on legitimate interests;
- data portability, meaning receiving your data in a structured, machine-readable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent;
- lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in your country of residence.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] from the address you registered with. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will respond within 30 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access to waitlist data restricted to authorised administrators behind authentication, and rate limiting of registration and login requests. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children’s Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will notify people on the waitlist by email before the changes take effect.
